SENIOR High School Bilingual Course Admissions and Transfers
Students are required to have sufficient English proficiency to comfortably acquire the contents of DP in English. Furthermore, in the DP courses, students are expected not to be passive but to demonstrate an active leadership. In November of senior high school 3rd year (Grade 12), students take the worldwide DP examinations and the results are announced in the beginning of January. This DP result plays an important role, somewhat like a passport, for students seeking to enter universities around the world. It is also noteworthy that more and more Japanese universities are establishing admissions policies for different faculties/departments including medical departments by acknowledging the quality of the highly respected IB Diploma Program.A transfer application is accepted until the end of senior high school 1st year (Grade 10), since the DP course is starting from April of senior high school 2nd year (Grade 11). Please note that transfer after the start of DP is difficult. In case of returnee students, some may be advised to transfer to a younger grade depending on the timing of enrollment.
